Our Methods of Service
We utilize every legal avenue available to ensure the defendant is properly notified, including:
Personal Service
Direct, hand-to-hand delivery of a "true copy" of the summons and complaint.
Substituted Service
Delivery to a competent member of the household (14+ years old) at the defendant’s primary residence, followed by mandatory first-class mail verification.
Office Service
Serving the person "apparently in charge" at the defendant's place of business during normal hours, supported by secondary mailing.
Service by Mail
Handling formal service via mail requiring a signed defendant receipt.
Alternative Service
When traditional methods are evaded, we assist in obtaining court orders for service via publication or electronic posting on the Oregon Judicial Department website.
